About WagerLock
A little distance.
A fresh start.
An extra step between an urge and a gambling website.
Built for your Windows PC, with room for your recovery.
A practical barrier.
WagerLock blocks websites on a maintained public gambling-domain list when software uses Windows DNS. You can add your own blocked domains and check whether a site is on the list.
The desktop app also includes local check-ins, personal progress estimates, and links to recovery support. These remain available without a paid subscription.
One part of your support system
This preview adds friction; it cannot guarantee that every gambling site or app is blocked. VPNs, alternate DNS, unlisted sites, and other devices can bypass it. A Windows administrator can also change or remove the software.
Your check-ins
stay with you.
Your journal and recovery information stay on your Windows profile. There are no advertising trackers or browsing-history uploads. Local journal files are not separately encrypted.
Stripe handles payments. The billing server stores installation and subscription information, not your journal. Allowed DNS queries go to Cloudflare’s public DNS service; blocked domains are answered on your PC.
Take the first step.
- 1
Download and open
Extract the Windows ZIP, then open Start-WagerLock.cmd. The preview includes its .NET runtime.
- 2
Set up protection
Install the protection service from the app. You’ll need to be signed into a Windows administrator account.
- 3
Subscribe, then enable
Choose $5/month or $50/year USD in the app. After payment, refresh your subscription and enable protection. Billing must be configured before paid protection is available.
Protection stops when the paid period ends, even during a commitment. After renewing an expired subscription, enable protection again in the app.
